U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
The Moving to Work (MTW) Demonstration Program
HUD maintains a website with MTW background information, promising practices and technical assistance.

“Housing Agency Responses to Federal Deregulation:
An Assessment of HUD’s ‘Moving to Work’ Demonstration”
The Urban Institute was commissioned by HUD to study the impact of MTW. The final report was transmitted to the Congress in January, 2004.

“Public Housing Operating Cost Study”
Known as the Harvard Cost Study, this report was commissioned by HUD and the U.S. Congress to determine the cost of operating “good quality public housing.” The final report was transmitted to HUD in June, 2003.

Other MTW agencies
Of the approximately 3,300 housing authorities nationwide, OHA is one of 30 chosen to participate in MTW.
