Oakland Housing Authority
Board of Commissioners
The Oakland Housing Authority is governed by a seven-member Board of Commmissioners appointed by the Mayor of the City of Oakland with the approval of the City Council. Five members serve 4-year terms. Two members are residents of the public housing and serve 2-year terms. One of these public housing residents must be 62 years of age or older.
