the Oakland Housing Authority Police Department (OHAPD), it is my pleasure to

available to residents, staff, and the community at large to help you stay
safe. Although no city is free from crime, we are committed to
maintaining a safe and secure environment on and about Oakland Housing
Authority properties.
The OHA Police Department has been
internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law
Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since 1999, earning a “Flagship” status in 2008
and 2011. The accreditation process requires satisfying 482 professional
standards established by CALEA that clearly define authority, performance, and
responsibilities.

with one of our staff. We are constantly seeking ways to improve our services
