One of the cornerstones of the OHA Section 8 Program is property owners participate by making their properties available for rent to the residents we serve.

At OHA, we work hard to help our residents identify properties that work for their family’s needs, maintain the quality of their housing through annual inspections and we support their efforts to obtain self-sufficiency through an array of supportive services.

Rent Reasonableness Determination

OHA pays market rents to property owners who choose to rent to HCV Participants. Several factors go into determining the market rate of a unit, including use of rental comparables, or “comps.”

HAP Contracting Process

The HAP contract is a written agreement between the PHA and the owner of the dwelling unit occupied by a housing choice voucher assisted family.
