Residents enjoy the Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) Senior Splendor event in October 2025. The annual event honored older adults in OHA communities and celebrated connection, joy, and community spirit.

This autumn, the Oakland Housing Authority hosted the Senior Splendor event—a beloved 42-year tradition honoring our senior residents and celebrating the vibrant spirit they bring to our communities. 

This year’s theme, “Hollywood Legends,” brought star-studded energy to the event, as residents dressed to impress and embraced the glamour and nostalgia of classic Hollywood. The celebration was filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt connection, creating an inspiring evening of togetherness.

Senior Splendor is more than a celebration—it’s a tribute to the seniors who have helped shape OHA’s neighborhoods and community spirit. The event highlights OHA’s ongoing commitment to fostering belonging and inclusion among older adults, reminding us that our communities thrive when residents of all ages feel valued and supported.
