OHA’s capital investment, rental assistance, and operating subsidies are a driver of affordable housing preservation and production in Oakland, so what better way to highlight the positive outcomes of OHA’s investment than to host a driving tour showing examples of these best practices in the OHA portfolio? The bus tour will review the complex network of partners and funding sources that make up Oakland’s affordable housing ecosystem. Details will also be shared about the cost and time required for affordable housing in Oakland, the trajectory of funding resources over the past two decades and the potential innovations in that realm for the future. The bus will stop at two to three OHA properties and/or third-party properties supported by OHA-assistance and will feature a discussion about the history of OHA investment in the City of Oakland’s affordable housing activity and the anticipated landscape going forward to ensure OHA’s continued ability to be a leader in production, preservation, and operations in the future.
