The Oakland Housing Authority Foundation (OHAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) residents through programs that promote stability, dignity, and opportunity. Since 1984, OHAF has helped fund essential human and social services—from employment training, educational programs, and scholarships to youth activities, summer meals, senior support, emergency assistance, and holiday food distributions through our partnership with Alameda County Community Food Bank.

OHAF helps fill critical gaps not covered by existing services, offering thousands of families a path toward greater independence.

The OHAF has no overhead costs, ensuring every dollar donated goes directly to programs that meet immediate needs. Your tax-deductible gift can:

  • Provide meals for seniors
  • Support job training and educational programs
  • Purchase bikes or school supplies for children
  • Help families access holiday meals, toys, and essentials

Your generosity helps hard-working families, seniors, and people with disabilities move toward greater self-sufficiency—creating a ripple effect of giving back throughout the community.
